Online Spanish lessons

Levels. I offer online Spanish lessons for beginners and elementary students, equivalent to A1 and A2 levels in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). I also provide tuition for students preparing for the Spanish GCSE oral exam.

My teaching and coaching methods. My approach to teaching Spanish is both effective and enjoyable. Here is how I work with my students:

• Communicative techniques: Students practise the four essential language skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—in real-life contexts. This way, they not only learn the language but also gain the confidence to use it in everyday situations.
• Systematic learning: We take a structured approach to mastering vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation. Each lesson will build on the previous one, ensuring that the student' understanding develops steadily and solidly.
• Accelerated learning principles: By incorporating techniques that speed up the learning process, students find themselves progressing faster than usual, making the most of their time and effort.
• Language learner strategies: I guide students  through proven strategies that make learning Spanish more effective and enjoyable. These strategies help them become more skilled and confident language learners.

Syllabus. After the initial consultation, I create a customised syllabus based on the student's specific Spanish learning goals. This plan outlines the topics and skills I suggest we focus on during our lessons. I then  review the plan with the student and we agree on the final version.

Learning resources. I design all the materials we will use during our lessons and for much of student's  independent study. In addition to these, I provide free online resources to support their learning. I also   offer guidance on using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to enhance their self-study, making their learning experience even more effective.

Timetable. My Spanish lessons are typically 60 minutes long, and the frequency of the lessons is flexible. This will be agreed upon based on students' preferences and my availability.

Two language learner strategies coaching sessions can make a significant difference to your progress. In the sessions I will help you clarify your language learning goals, recognise what is already working, and explore new ways to make your learning more enjoyable and effective. Together, we will create a personalised action plan.

Coaching session 1 (60 minutes). We will begin by clarifying your language learning goals and identifying the strategies that are already working for you. Then, we will explore additional techniques to make your learning more effective and enjoyable. By the end of the session, we will create a tailored action plan for you to implement.

Coaching session 2 (30 minutes). In this follow-up session, we will review your progress and fine-tune the action plan based on your results. If necessary, we will adjust the plan and ensure everything is on track for success.
